Autumn production for Connolly

Over the past three months considerable work has been done to put the finance for the Connolly film in place, and Tom, Frank and Adrian are confident that shooting will begin in September, with the film's release planned for March 2007.

Adrian, while in Los Angeles in March to present an award to Belfast-born DJ and producer David Holmes, had a valuable series of discussions with key film industry people, and on his return joined Tom and Frank in discussions with the CEO of the Irish Film Board, Simon Perry, whose input into the production of Connolly they see as most important given his proven track record.

The legal advisors to Rascal Films, John Kettle and Paul Egan of Mason Hayes & Curran, are presently attracting private investment to the film and preparing the production company's application for Section 481 tax relief.

Discussions are ongoing with a highly regarded UK producer who will assist in opening up the UK and European markets for the film, and the producers will then put in place agreements for worldwide sales and distribution.
