Rascal Films is currently developing two feature screenplays to bring to production. Both are original stories that come out of Ireland.
Without Words
'Without Words' is based on an original story idea by Tom Stokes and Frank Allen and is conceived as a trilingual Gaelic/Welsh/English feature drama for Cinema and Television. It is a story of great love overcoming language difference only to be betrayed by that same condition. The story is set as science clashes with nature, and modernity with tradition, and explores these themes as a subtext to those of language, love, loss, and hope reborn.
Shay
'Shay' is an original story idea by Tom Stokes and Frank Allen and is a biopic of the legendary Shay Elliott, Ireland's first world-class racing cyclist. 'Shay', set in the 1950s and 60s. is the story of heroic success against the odds and of catastrophic decline into tragedy. The story is set against the backdrop of one of the most exciting of individual sports and will capture the the spirit of professional cycling's heyday. |
